Habiskan Akhir Pekan Bersama Model Rusia

Benarkah Irina kekasih terbaru Ronaldo? (yuk)

Mike : RESPONSES TO COMMENTS

Dari blognya Mike Shinoda

Tampaknya, Mike Shinoda bosan atau kesal dengan pertanyaan "when is the album coming out?". Lalu kemudian Mike menjawab "it looks like it will be out sometime in 2050. "
Mike sekarang sudah tidak mempunyai ketertarikan berkonsentrasi lagi pada musik Nu Metal sejak tahun 2005.
Liat saja selengkapnya :

zah: when will be da album come out? seriously is it 2012???

M: We’ve decided to push the album back one day for every time we get asked “when is the album coming out.” So, based on the comments here on mikeshinoda.com alone, it looks like it will be out sometime in 2050. Thanks for your help.

LP4ever: Mike respect bruv and thanx for the game !! but can u leave the gaming world now and reconcentrate ON YOUR NU=METAL MUSIC MORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

M: You’re welcome for the game. And I haven’t had an interest in concentrating on nu metal since about 2005.

(post #1) adaminator1: GODDAMN STOP POSTING F*CKING EMBEDS IN THE COMMENTS. Mike, you should disable that feature. Like, permanantly. People get confused.

(post #2) adam: What ADAMINATOR1 said. I don’t know what I’m most sick of – the kid with the covers or you people for continuously posting them on every comment section.

M: Are you really two different people? I hope so, because if you’re one person posting as two people with the same name, that’s just plain weird. And I agree, the spamming, videos, and music links in the comments section are lame. I have some folks who are supposed to be moderating, but they…forgot.

Others: Why aren’t you posting any studio updates?

M: Because we’re really busy in the studio right now. I’m doing some test mixes of some songs, to see what they might sound like finished, and to see if the guys like my mixes. It’s called a shootout. For those unfamiliar with mixing, look here. Our engineer Ethan and I are teaming up to mix some stuff, and a couple other mixers are mixing the same songs. We’ll put all the mixes together on a CD–with no names–and see which mixes the band likes best, just based on the sound. It’ll be really funny if I pick someone else’s mix.

Misteri Logo LP di Video"Blackbirds"

dari LPUnderground Forum:

"Usblackbird: So I beat 8-bit rebellion, and I was noticing around 1:30ish in the Blackbirds video there is a promotional poster of some kind from 2008 with a picture of a red knight holding a shield with an LP emblem. Now, after I doubletook, I inspected it a little closer and realized it looks like the the Lordaeron crest from the Warcraft series lol.

Here's a snapshot of what it looks like (sorry for the bad quality...):

Unfortunately I can't find a decent picture of that poster on the net (not even on Mike's blog of the Projekt Revolution promo posters). Granted, I only looked for a whole 10 minutes :P

Ternyata yang tampak seperti logo LP tersebut adalah emblem pada Game"Warcraft"

Vision Across Generations

UNIVERSAL CITY.—East West Players marked its 44th anniversary Monday evening, with the annual Visionary Awards gala and silent auction, held at the Universal Hilton.

Mike Shinoda was humble in accepting his Visionary Award.

The black-tie event was a star-studded affair, with some of the most celebrated Asian American talent in attendance. In addition to serving as a fundraiser for EWP’s projects and programs, the gala is a chance to recognize those performers who over the past year have helped to raise awareness and visibility of the Asian Pacific American community.

This year’s honorees were musician and artist Mike Shinoda, Fox vice president for alternative entertainment Wenda Fong and Pixar Animation Studios, along with the star of their feature, “Up,” Jordan Nagai, who received the Breakout Performance Award.

“I hope the success of ‘Up’ will lead to more leading roles for Asian American artists,” said the 10-year-old Nagai, who starred as Wilderness Explorer Russell in the animated film that was nominated for a best picture Oscar.

Somewhat shy and reserved onstage, Nagai began his career in print work at the age of 1 and has also done voice work on “The Simpsons.” He said the best part of making “Up” was playing foosball and and other games between recording takes.

In accepting his Visionary Award, Shinoda said he doesn’t set about his work with any particular agenda in mind.

“I don’t concentrate on raising awareness of Asian Americans, it’s just what I do, it’s simply me,” Shinoda said, visibly touched by the honor.

Shinoda also referred to his admiration of actress Tamlyn Tomita, one of the evening’s emcees, and one of her best-known films.

“Was anyone else here in junior high when ‘Karate Kid II’ came out?” he asked, which drew applause and laughs. “Yeah, that was really awesome.”

David Choe: Nothing To Declare

Dari blognya Mike Shinoda

I missed the opening of David Choe’s NOTHING TO DECLARE show in Beverly Hills; I was able to finally get down there this afternoon. Great stuff. If you get a chance, definitely check it out–it’s on Beverly in the space where there used to be a big clothing shop–so it has tons of room for the art. Loved the crazy balloon/whale/guts in the middle. I figured I wouldn’t post any pics of the show, since there are already tons online (Eric Nakamura had a great pictorial HERE, Hypebeast HERE, and David’s website HERE).

Lazarides and company are about to bring some good shit to Beverly Hills…Can’t wait for the next show, with JR, Antony Micallef, Vhils, and Connor Harrington.

We’re talking about updates to the game right now…looking forward to adding more fun stuff to do. More to come…

Mike : Recording Artists, Not Performers

Dari blognya Mike Shinoda

I was having dinner with a close friend named Mark, and we found ourselves on the topic of seeing “new” bands in concert. Mark had recently gone to Coachella, and was telling me about his favorite acts–and some of the ones that underwhelmed him. He wondered aloud why some bands seem to be so proficient in the studio, but their live show didn’t seem to be nearly as solid. A thought occurred to me/us somewhere in the conversation, and I’m going to put it out there for discussion:

Today, there is a historic surplus of “recording artists” and deficit of “performers.” And it’s probably technology’s fault.

Thirty years ago, if you wanted to be a professional musician, you might start by saving up to buy an instrument. You’d buy it, and start teaching yourself. Next, you’d probably get lessons, and practice, practice, practice. You would get together with other musicians, at someone’s house, to jam other peoples’ songs, and maybe eventually write your own. Then you’d work your way toward playing live. You might start by playing covers, then move toward playing your own stuff. If that went over well, you’d build a fan base, who would spread the word. Eventually, a record company representative could find you and sign you to a deal, and FINALLY you would be able to create a “professional” recording of your music. By that time, you would have logged thousands of hours of performing together. And the recording of your album was geared towards capturing the essence of what you actually sounded like: the magic that everyone heard while listening to you play live.

Today, most people skip straight to the recording. The tools to make a great recording are as cheap as free: whether GarageBand on a Mac, or amazing online recording communities like BOJAM, nearly anyone can have access to the tools necessary to make a quality recording. There’s no gatekeeper or major hurdle between an amateur and their interest in learning writing, recording, engineering, and mixing music. That being the case, there’s a whole new generation of artists who have become really good at those things. They log thousands of hours writing and recording. Since an early age, they’ve been honing their skills, composing pop diddies and alternative anthems on their laptops–wherever, whenever they like. They put the songs online…and occasionally, a song starts to take off in a viral whirlwind.

But what then?

Let’s say the song becomes popular; whether signed to a record label or working independently, piracy assures that the mp3 doesn’t make a lot of money online. And the group needs to make some money to pay the rent, buy gear, build the band. So they start planning their “tour.” But they don’t have much experience playing live. They’re really good at their instruments, but they can’t make it happen on stage. The album has dozens of layered sounds on every song, and they only have four band members. The drummer can’t keep up with the drum pattern on the popular single, because it was a drum machine on the original recording. And the vocalist’s voice sounds awful without Auto Tune.

One of the places where a “listener” becomes a “fan” is at the concert, and if you can’t connect there, you lose. In the case of Coachella, there were some bands that had the whole package. Some sounded great because they sounded just like the album, some sounded great because they sounded different from the album. There were rock-based bands that played well together, and electronic-based groups that brought the energy of their recording to life on stage. But in between–and in general–more and more often, the world is seeing artists with incredible-sounding albums and songs, and no magic when you see them in concert.

My own band has had to deal with these same issues in one way or another in the past. We grew up recording on a computer, at the specific point in time when home recording software became accessible to the average kid. When we met a record executive for the first time, we had played no shows. At that moment, we realized that we needed to start playing live and practicing our new songs, so we could eventually bring them to a stage. It would be years before anyone had ever heard of Linkin Park. We were lucky enough to get through the worst of our awkward live mistakes while we were still a baby band, unsigned, without a million people coming to our first show to see what all the hype was about, and by the time “In The End” hit the mainstream, we had probably played 150-200 shows together and worked a lot of the kinks out.

I’m definitely not saying that being a masterful at recording isn’t an asset. I’m just saying that it’s a game with a lot of competition, due to ease of entry.

If you want to stand out, performance is key. After all, if you master that, you can easily hire someone to record you.

Viva Glorious Excess

Dari blognya Mike Shinoda

The spirit of Glorious Excess lives on…but it’s not my show. I just read about a show called “C’est la Vie! Vanités.” From the article: “Once used as grisly reminders that you are going to die, or a Memento Mori, skull images are now as ubiquitous on children’s clothing as they were in Jesuit-inspired art of the 16th and 17th centuries.”

The Humongous Sadness

Dari blognya Mike Shinoda

I’m back with another featured character from our 8 BIT REBELLION game. “The Humongous Sadness” deserves its name, doesn’t it? I don’t even know if it’s a guy or a girl. All I know is that it is very big and very sad, and it says things like, “I think my cat is making fun of me behind my back.” I want to love The ‘Sadness and be its friend, but its general demeanor really brings me down, and I don’t need that kind of downer in my life, know what I mean?

  • Phoenix grew up in Massachusetts but later moved to Mission Viejo, CA, and now lives in LA.
  • After moving to CA, he joined a band in high school called 'Tasty Snax'. The band later changed their name to 'The Snax'
  • While Phoenix was with The Snax he transitioned from guitar to bass guitar and stayed with it ever since.
  • As previously mentioned, Phoenix was the original bass player in Xero.
  • Phoenix  played with Xero until he decided to tour with The Snax for a year and a half and then came back to Linkin Park.
  • Snax was/is a band from Orange County, CA. They are a Christian punk band.
  • Phoenix was taught how to play guitar by his mom, his greatest inspiration :)
  • Another inspiration to Phoenix is his older brother (Joe).
  • Phoenix is a graduate from UCLA.
  • Phoenix is also responsible for some of the song writing on the "Hybrid Theory" cd.
  • Phoenix loves Mocha Almond Fudge ice cream.
  • Phoenix prefers boxers instead of briefs.
  • Phoenix's favorite movie is Braveheart.
  • Phoenix's most humiliating experience on stage is slipping and falling in front of everyone.
  • Phoenix moved away from Massachusetts to CA when he was just 5.
  • Phoenix's Schools & Mascots : Montevideo Mountaineers, La Paz Caballeros, Mission Viejo Diablos, UCLA Bruins.
  • Phoenix likes to play soccer and snow board.
  • Phoenix likes: Weezer, Beatles, Deftones, Roots, Bob Marley, Sarah McLaughlin, Hughes & Wagner, Harrod & Funck.
  • Phoenix wishes he could play the drums.
  • Phoenix's advice is to take naps.

  • When they were first starting out Phoenix and Brad were college room-mates so they would drive to practice together.
  • Phoenix has played lots of instruments including the violin and cello. In fact, he plays both those instruments on the Reanimation album.
  • Phoenix says that prince Ali from Aladin is the cartoon character that represents him best, although he'd say Simba but he's a lion so that doesn't work.
  • Phoenix was asked which Lp member he would eat if he was stuck on a desert island and he said: "I don't know who I'd eat first, but Brad would be last... he's all bone and grissle."
  • Phoenix likes and plays the Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray 4 and 5 string basses.

Robert Gregory Bourdon's Trivia

  • Rob's birthdate is January 20, 1979.
  • Rob is from Calabasas, CA, but lives in LA now.
  • Rob went to Agoura high school.
  • Rob is Jewish
  • Rob's previous day job was as a waiter
  • Rob started to play the drums when he was in elementary school (third or fourth grade) after he went to an Aerosmith concert. His mom actually knows Joey Kramer (Aerosmith's drummer) so he got to go backstage and see the whole production.
  • When Rob got into high school he was into "a lot of funk" like Sly and the Family Stone, James Brown, Tower of Power.
  • Linkin Park is NOT Rob's first band. He started playing in bands when he was around 13 years old and he'd play cover songs like Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' with his buddies. That's when he met Brad and they played for about a year. It was rock meets rap and funk, they were called 'Relative Degree'. They practiced a lot, played one show and then it fell apart.
  • Rob likes to play the piano when he has time. He used to take classical lessons when he was young and was forced to keep going
  • Rob says Princess Jasmine is the cartoon character that represents him best because him and Phoenix are like a team in the band, being on bass and drums. so he's be Princess jasmine cos they fit together. (See 'Phoenix' info in order to understand this comment, lol)
  • His most poignant moment was getting gold plaques for Hybrid Theory.
  • In some interview one of the members of Linkin Park stated that Rob went to high school with Incubus, however they also stated that Rob went to Agoura high school which Incubus did not go to. Incubus went to Calabasas high school - Calabasas was the town Rob grew up in so that may be where the initial confusion arised.
  • Linkin Park most likely did attend high school with most of the members of Hoobastank who went to Agoura high. They even played some shows (Brad, Mike and Rob) in the lead singer of Hoobastank's backyard.

Joseph Hahn's Trivia

  • Joe's birthdate is March 15, 1977
  • Joe is from Glendale, CA but lives in LA now.
  • Joe has a split personality called Remy (For those who are slow - this was a joke. He doesn't *really* have a split personality, it's all in good fun. Joe now denies it completely though - he's lying, lol).
  • Joe or "Remy" talks in the beginning of "Cure for the Itch"
  • "Mr Hahn" constantly invents things in conversations with new fans who don't know lp very well and will make up things about them that are totally untrue. "So beware" -Brad (He'll make up stuff when talking to old fans as well so don't take everything he says to heart)
  • Joe gets bored very easily & has a dry sense of humor, so don't get upset if he seems uninterested or he's not receptive to you (the fans). He doesn't really mean it in a bad way. (ie/ leaving the LPU meet and greet table and walking down the line signing people's stuff so he can leave faster)
  • Joe came up with the concept for the "One Step Closer" video. He also was involved in the directing of every other linkin park video. He's the official video guy for the band.
  • Joe and Nathan Cox co-directed Static X's video for "Cold".
  • Joe was into visual arts in high school and also pursued it after.
  • Joe and Chester both agree the Foo Fighters' "Everlong" is quite possibly one the best songs ever.
  • Mike (and then Rob,Brad, etc) met Joe in college since Joe went to the Pasadena arts school/college too.
  • Joe and Mike both majored in illustration. They were both interested in painting and Joe stayed at the college for a year then he got into motion pictures. He worked on Sphere and Phantoms. He worked on monsters in movies.
  • Joe was born in America, but his parents are Korean which makes him Korean.
  • Joe says that the valkyrie fighter in robotech is the cartoon character that represents him best because he's so streamlined and cool.

Bradford Phillip Delson's Trivia

  • 'Brad' stands for Bradford.
  • Brad is Jewish.
  • Brad went to Agoura high school.
  • Brad is from Agoura,CA, but lives in the LA area now.
  • Brad graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. He didn't go onto law school so he could pursue his career in the band.
  • Brad is not upset about choosing the band over law school because he'd be studying right now instead of playing in a successful band.
  • Brad and Phoenix were room-mates in college.
  • Brad calls himself "BIG BAD BRAD" or BBB, that's how he signs his name (BBB)
  • Brad likes MTV, in particular, The Real World (i hope this is a joke, lol).
  • Brad is a fan of Britney Spears and the rest of the band is embarrassed of him. (Since some people are dumb, I must clerify this...its most likely that he doesn't like her music as he would never ever want to collaborate with her..he's simply attracted to her like millions of other guys.)
  • Brad's first instrument was the trumpet.
  • Brad was also in a band with Rob. It was rock meets rap and funk, they were called 'Relative Degree'. They practiced a lot, played a show then it fell apart.
  • Brad's greatest obsession is sleeping.
  • Brad would never part with his toothbrush.
  • According to Brad, the strangest thing a fan has ever requested was linkin park's pubic hair. Fans in the UK actually brought tape to put it on. He previously said that the strangest request he ever got from a fan was to sign body parts that shouldn't be signed (ie. boobs, which they don't sign anymore, lol).
  • Every Christmas (or almost every xmas) Brad and his family hold a dinner in an auditorium for the homeless & Mike likes to help out.
  • Brad used to color his hair different colors (ie./ purple) in high school.
  • Brad's career highlight so far was hearing "one step closer" on KROQ in LA.
  • The first time Brad heard 'One Step Closer' on the radio, it wasn't the full song, it was a clip of the song on a radio spot, and linkin park were all in the van together.
  • Brad got his 1st guitar in (probably) 6th grade.
  • When Brad has 2 hrs off (from lp stuff) then he tries to find a movie theatre and see whatever he can.
  • 1st album that made an impression on Brad was Duran Duran's.
  • Brad's favorite album is Sunny Day Real Estate "Diary."
  • Brad's musical role model is Chester :)
  • Brad's guitar heroes are: Dave Matthews, (Brad doesn't go for his tone but his musicality, his playing is ingenious), Stef from the Deftones, Sunny Day Real Estate and other non-guitar driven stuff. Brad prefers to listen to non-metal stuff like Dido rather then rock this way he can draw from a lot of sources and make something special.
  • Although Brad will NEVER reveal the real reason he wears his headphones on stage he did say this in a shoutweb interview: "I will say that it has something to do with the matrix. Not the movie, the actual matrix and being connected with it. Mr. Hahn has been rubbing off on me. I'm starting to integrate sci-fi humor into my schtick. It probably isn't too popular with a mass audience." LOL, "But I won't give him credit for the headphones. That's all mine."

Chester Charles Bennington's Trivia

  • Chester is often the subject of pranks from bandmates Mike Shinoda and Joseph Hahn; he claims they draw on his face while he's sleeping.
  • In the video for "From the Inside", Chester has casts on both his arms.

  • On October 8, 2006, Chester was the guest host on the radio talkshow, Loveline.
  • Chester and Talinda had a baby boy named Tyler Lee Bennington early this year in March.
  • Chester was born in Phoenix, AZ.
  • Chester's siblings are children from one of his step-parent's previous marriage.
  • "The Chemist" is Chester's nickname too.
  • In March 2004, Chester had laser eye surgery.
  • Chester has designed some clothing for a company called Replicant, owned by Korn's Head and Orgy's Ryan Shuck.
  • Chester attended Centennial High School at the beginning of his freshman year. But later he went to Greenway High.
  • When Chester was 11, his parents went through a divorce.
  1. Chester's tattoos, Totaling 13:
Upper Left Arm - (Pisces) An original done by Jody from Club Tattoo in Tempe, Arizona. The color was done by Wes from Club Tattoo as well. This was Chester's 1st piece ever.
  2. Upper Back - (Six arms spread out) Done by his friend, Derrick, in Arizona. It was Derrick's interpretation of Chester on stage. He said that Chester had an overwhelming power to take over the audience and pull them in and he thought that Chester  needed more then two arms to do that so he gave him six. The placement of his backpiece was orginally supposed to be around his diaphragm extending from his belly button but Samantha didn't want to look at that every day of her life.
  3. Lower Back - (Linkin Park lettered in old English) Done by Jeff Tilman from Tattoo Deluxe in California. Chester made a bet with Jeff that if Linkin Park  went Platinum he would do his lower back for free. Supposedly this tattoo is not done, it's also supposed to have dragons as well.
  4. Upper Right Arm - (Japanese Koi Fish) Done by another friend, Wookie, from Club Tattoo in Tempe, Arizona. It's an orginal that Chester drew.
  5. Lower Left Calf - (Hybrid Theory Soldier) Done by Dee from Jacksonville, Florida. You can watch Chester getting this tattoo done in his dressing room of the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida on the Frat Party DVD. Dee has become a good friend of Chester's (he's a guy by the way) and did this piece for free. Chester  did this tatoo on a whim and didn't discuss it with Samantha first. She saw it though and "fell in love with it" but said "Don't ever do that again!
  6. Left Arm - (Flames) Done by Jeff Tilman from Tattoo Deluxe in California. This is Chester's favorite piece and the inspiration for the flames coincides with his upper arms (which are based on fish and ocean creatures) and represents his Pisces sign. Chester was born on March 20th, the cusp of Aries, a fire sign, so they symbolize both sides of his personality: fire and water.
  7. Right Arm - (Flames)
  8. Right Calf - (Dragon) Chester was born in the year of the dragon so he wanted a dragon on his right calf. Chester  said that this was the same dragon that "is on [his] wife's ass, only 42 times the size."
  9. Ring Finger on Left Hand - (Engagement band) Done by Derrick and designed by Samantha. She also has the same tattoo on her finger. The reason for the tattoo rings was that Chester  was too poor at the time to purchase a real ring and since his friend, Derrick, owned a tattoo shop he did the tattoos for free. They had those tattoos done before Pamela and Tommy Lee had theirs done.
  10. Pinkie Finger on Right Hand - (Birthstone in gold ring) That's Chester's birthstone for March in a gold ring, given to him as a gift for his 21st birthday.
  11. Left of Back - (Dragon)
  12. Right of Back - (Dragon)
  13. Right Elbow - (Unidentified tattoo that looks like a skull on a rose?)
